Highland Dirks

Highland and Dress Dirks

The Highland Dirk has been distinctive from the European daggers in having a single edge, the heavier blade perfectly balanced for use also as short sword. The oldest Dirks had carved Knotwork pommels, plain scabbards and simple ornamentation, whereas 18th century variants often had embellished scabbards to accommodate a knife and for in the style of the Highland Regimental Officers (KF). The Clan Crest Dirk (CC) will take any of our small crest badges. All are gift boxed with historical notes included.
