Reiver: We offer nearly 500 tartans in this weight. Stocked in the 59" wide and 10oz per yard. Reiver weight is not suitable for a man's kilt and is usually used in Ladieswear. Medium weight men's trousers may be made with Reiver as the setts (pattern) are somewhat smaller and  colors more vibrant than in  Braeriach or Strome.

Braeriach:    This medium weight fabric is suitable available in about 200 setts (tartans). The standard is 54" wide and 13oz per yard, making it popular for lighter weight kilts, and for do-it-yourself clothing/home furnishing projects. While it is a kilt weight, it will not hold pleats as well as the Strome.

Strome Rare Select:    A 28" wide fabric with two natural selvedges and available in 500 tartans. With the selvedges, no join is required when the kilt is manufactured.

Strome Standard and Select:        The premier weight kilt fabric in the industry. The strome double width is 54" wide and a full 16 oz. Pipe bands around the world use this fabric both for it's incredible durability and the proper "hang."
